Install sequence for SQL 2016 AlwaysOn AG's on Standard Edition

  What is s/w install sequence for creating brand new SQL 2016 Standard edition AlwaysOn Availability Group(s):   

  Is it possible to do this:

  Create 2 brand new machines each w/ Windows Server 2016
  Install Windows Failover cluster -- adding both nodes to the cluster
  Install SQL standard edition on machine 1 -- as standlone (NOT adding as a NODE to a cluster)
  Install SQL standard edition on machine 2 -- as standlone (NOT adding as a NODE to a cluster)
  Then configure AlwaysOn AG's via SQL Server Configuration Manager, etc?

  Pretty much yes that's the order.

  Remember the limitations with Standard edition for AOAG's as BAG's have limitations, like 1 database per BAG, no Read Only Secondary etc.
