No plans, since it's winter. Next trip will likely be September for SQLSaturdays.
However, come December, I'm thinking about spending a week at the coast again. Below is what the view from my room looked like last year.

My wife and kids are away without me this year so no holiday for me 🙁

But I will take the opportunity to learn kite surfing and go to the Green Man festival 🙂

I love adventurous sports. Did Scuba diving this year, planning on sky diving next. I am more productive at work during winters, so mostly take holidays during summers.
I am also into dancing and acting, so do at least 1 act / performance every year (sometimes a very small role on a small scale).

I've got some walking trips lined up for next month. I'm planning to climb Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis over three weekends.

A week in Surrey coming up, because there are many parts of the UK we haven't visited.
Two weeks in Vancouver Island and around Tweedsmuir South Provincial Park in September.
Iceland to try and see the Northern lights in November.

Note to burglars - we have nothing worth stealing while we're away. Do you really think we have anything of value after paying for holidays like those?

And if there are any Phd-level mathematicians or forensic-level accountants out there with nothing better to do, I could do with a hand understanding the BC Ferries timetable.

Two weeks somewhere in Europe. The channel tunnel is booked (free thanks to Tesco's clubcard rewards scheme) but we'll just pack the camper van and decide where to go at the last minute.
Last year we were aiming for Germany and the Rhine but the weather was bad there at the time, so we turned right out of the tunnel and ended up in Barcelona!

Nothing really exciting planned this summer for the wife and I. We're debating about going up north camping in August (Traverse City / Mackinac City area,) if we do we'd take our bikes along and go across to Mackinac Island for a day (mmm, fudge...)

Labor Day weekend we're currently planning to go across the border into Toronto for FanExpo, she's geeked about getting Stephen Amell's (Green Arrow from CWs Arrow) autograph on her recurve bow. Me, I'll enjoy sitting in and listening to some of the panel discussions (last year, SteamPunk Cosplay and 3D Printing) and browsing the artist' alley.

We don't have kids, so planning trips is a lot easier.

September/October, My wife and I will be traveling with our three dogs to near Washington DC for the National Beagle Club Specialty show; that will include another trip to see Space Shuttle Discovery again.

But I'll be staying home, or perhaps on a Lake Murray island, for the big event happening August 21st. I'll be using three cameras, one DSLR, and two SLRs loaded with infrared film (B&W and color), for the total solar eclipse.

From the Northeastern part of the U.S. my wife and I will be traveling to Missouri to visit relatives and see the full eclipse in August. From there we are taking my 80 year old Aunt and Uncle to see the Grand Canyon in Arizona. The Aunt and Uncle are from a small town and had two places in the U.S. they wanted to see in their life, Niagara Falls (partially in Canada of course) which they saw in 1975, and the Grand Canyon, so we said there is no better time than the present. And the trip was planned just in the last two weeks.

That rocky coastline looks like an interesting place to explore, the type of place I'd want to spend a weekend, but my family wouldn't like it unless there is a sandy beach.

There's a sandy beach a 5 minute walk in one direction, and another sandy beach about 5 minutes in the other direction.
I like rocky shorelines more.

I've qualified to compete in the Commonwealth powerlifting championships in September, so that is the next long haul. It's being held in South Africa, and while I am competing for England I have dual nationality with SA and I am super excited that my parents who still live there will be able to come and watch. Now all we need to do is find something touristy to do in Potchefstroom, which is a real one horse town iirc.

Not a new trip this year, but an important one I'm looking forward to.
My brother and I are taking our father back to South Dakota and to the Black Hills last week of July. (1 week before the Sturgis bike rally).
He's 75 now and doesn't travel much at all. Chance for the 3 of us to spend a week together and visit the old stomping grounds, none of us get there very often and we all live in 3 different states.
