Has anyone restored "sql server" AMI image on aws.
We are planning to take weekly AMI snapshot of our SQL server host and use that for DR restoration?
Any one has experience with this process for sql server?
Do we need to reconfigure sql server after restoring AMI?..wil the binaries be intact? what steps to be performed?
In case of oracle we found , grid infra/clusterware had to be reconfigured after AMI restoration following some specia steps.
Is that the case with SQL server as well?
Appreciate if you can share your experience.
