When clicking on the "LATEST" button in the forums it really isn't the latest because if you sort by Last Post Ascending you see threads where the last post was 16 years ago. I would expect latest to either be, at most, the last 24hrs or since my last login. I answered a question on a post from 16 year ago because I just assumed it was recent.

I have noticed that as well. I was very close to submitting a response before noticing the date. I could go with latest being the most recent 7 days.

I don't have that problem since I have it sorting the date in descending order.

Sort of make sense, though, if the latest post in a 16 year old thread is from 16 years ago for it show up in the list if sorted ascending.

I do agree that it would be nice if there were some other filtering available to reduce the noise.

What about an option to MARK ALL AS READ.
Then when looking at the UNREAD tab, we can start with fresh data.
