  • Thank you for sharing this.  I would personally add one more step to this extensive list:  take the db offline for a few months (13 ?) and wait for the screaming babies.

    There is that. @=) But I would rename it before taking it offline so the other DBAs know not to put it back online unless someone's complaining.
