  Hi SSC,

  Currently I have dozens of servers with SQL Server 2008 r2, 2012 & 2014 that all use the same service account (for SQL Engine & Agent). My task is to now create a separate account for each instance on each server. Updating the services for all of these servers/instances with their new service accounts is going to be a very long task for the initial changeover and for every future password change.

  Rather than manually updating each service login on each individual server, are there any suggestions on other methods that can be used to help manage this task?

  I've heard of Manage Service Accounts, but the different articles I've found give different answers on whether or not MSAs are compatible with the 2008 r2 & 2012 SQL Servers.

  Does anyone have any recommendations on software or methods that can be used to help reduce all of the manual upkeep?
