Free eBook from PacktPub: Getting Started with PowerShell - TODAY ONLY!!!

  • PacktPub, a well known but smaller publisher, provides a free eBook every day. I believe it is a loss leader that they run in an attempt to generate more sales. Each book is only available for free for one day. There is no obligation, beyond registering, when getting a copy of this book.

It can be found here: https://www.packtpub.com/packt/offers/free-learning

BTW I get nothing for posting this. Nor am I the author. I just hope that someone from this forum is interested enough to make my posting this worthwhile.

  • Awesome! Thanks for the heads-up on this one. It even has a section on calls to the incredible WMI functionality that's been available at the DOS level for what seems like forever.

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.
