Edit the Directory physical path Location for Applications Under Default Website

  • Hi,

I'm currently looking for a way to amend applications physical paths through power-shell instead of manually going into every application.

I have a number of applications under the default website which have applications under them that need to be changed.

Is there a way of changing them through power-shell , so that I can possibility eventually run the powershell through SQL.

    Thanks

  • Are you talking about changing the physical path of an IIS Virtual Directory?

Sorry but I can't see this. I am behind a firewall with a rather too aggressive policy.

  • This is the link if it will help..

but primarily I'm talking about when you right click on an application in IIS > manage application > physical path

  • URL doesn't help...but this just might: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3938058/changing-the-physical-path-of-an-iis-website-on-a-remote-machine-via-powershell

    Or maybe this: https://kabheap.wordpress.com/code-library/powershell/powershell-update-iis-virtual-directory-physical-paths/[/url]
