Is it possible to open a package in BIDs and then run it programmatically? I have a few packages that can't be run on the server due to using processes that can't be installed on windows server, and as such, a VM was spun up to allow for automation of these tasks. DTEXEC doesn't want to play nice, and I can't even seem to get a decent log to explain what is happening. If I could just schedule it out in BIDS, it would make life a lot easier, even if it's not considered ideal. Otherwise, I am going to have to figure out why DTEXEC keeps choking on the packages.

It feels a bit grubby, but you could try using a product like this[/url].
Otherwise, collect some logging info to gain an understanding of why things are failing at the moment and post back.
And, out of interest, what are the 'processes which cannot be installed on a Windows server'? If this is a production process, you should not have to rely on it running from your workstation.
If you haven't even tried to resolve your issue, please don't expect the hard-working volunteers here to waste their time providing links to answers which you could easily have found yourself.

As far as what I cannot run from a server, it is a piece of mailing software that is unfortunately fairly central to our business (which is a mailing business).
I am working on setting up logs now, and hopefully will be able to get something useful from dtexec as to why the package is failing.
