Hi

Can someone PLEASE tell me what I am doing wrong, I take SQL off line run the converter, the physical box is converted ok but the SQL database is in suspect mode, I have tried twice to convert this box with the same result.

Is it not possible to convert a box that is running SQL?

Can someone please point me in the right direction before I loss all my hair....

Thanks in advance

you can convert SQL server from physical box to vmware.

make sure your stop the all the SQL services (SQL Server, Agent , browser, intergration service ,etc) any application like antivirus and so on.

install the vmconverter on the local machine and convert the vm. once you have converted the vm dont connect to network , and uninstalled the unnecesary software installed on the VM. then start the server
