Hi all,
I'm sure many of you here get just like me tons of e-mail for successful and or failed jobs in various shapes, forms and sizes. I have a number of issues in doing this and so does most of our staff, naming a few: 1.) It's not bullet proof 2.) You rely on individuals 3.) You don't get an email of the job does not run. 4.) Stuff gets missed and so on.
Most of our alerts are sent via email, weather this is the best method or not... I have my reservations....
What would I like:
A centralized mail box with a power full 'rules engine' that can be configured to send out an alert when a email contains a failure notice or an email is not received by a predefined time. The result is that an alert is only sent if needed.
So if you know how to solve this issue or can steer me in a better direction I would be most appreciative.
Kind regards
AK
