Lost connection changes after saving the SSIS project

  Hi,

  I export and open a 2005 ssis package in BIDS and modify the package by changing the connection strings (flat and SQL connections) and then saving the package and closing it.

  But when I reopen the same package all the changes I made are lost. Saw the other post suggesting changing configuration file but there is no .dtsConfig file in the package.

  Do I need to do anything other than just Saving the package?
