Some one restarted by Windows Server 2008. On which SQL Server has installed.
can any one tell me how to find who restarted the server ant what time ?
i did check in Event log but there is no such information.

i did check in Event log but there is no such information.
There's no entry in the event log ?!?!?!
Or did it get erased ? I usually search with a filter for the event number, or sometimes omit the informational logs to see just the more important ones.
I am on Windows 2003, but I assume 2008 has the same options, if not more.

Sometimes log entry doesn't get written when windows update causes the reboot. You might want to check the windows update log.
