Certifications on SQL server 2008 or 2012 ?

  • Hi Expertz,

So far i have took any cerifications , now I need to take certification as they are going to expire. So what are options infront of me ? totally confused with Microsoft site, kindly help me all on this.

If I want to get MCITP - only 70-450 is enough ?

If I get 70-432 is there any benefit ? will i get mcts or mcsa 2008

also please advice better options to get 2008 and from 2008 to 2012 through upgrades

    Thanks & regards

    MJ

  • Microsoft changed certification program when it published SQL Server 2012.

Practically you have to get MCSA first by doing tests 70-461, 70-462 and 70-463.

After that you can specialize to platform or business intelligence and get MCSE certification by doing two tests more.

I think that it's not possible to do SQL Server 2008 tests any more.

You can see certification requirements from the Microsoft certification page
