Migration of SSRS reports subscriptions and datasources from Integrated mode to Native mode

  • We have a project to move our SharePoint Integrated mode reports back to Native mode. Both servers are SSRS 2008 R2. The company is moving the SharePoint site to the cloud. Once in the cloud all our reports will break as they cannot reach their data so this migration must happen.

The problem I am encountering seems to be just beyond my grasp. I need to export and then import the reports with subscription and shared data source information. I have tried Jasper Smith's RSScripter tool to no avail. I have searched the forums on sqlservercentral, technet, experts-exchange.com and google; all with no avail.

I can migrate the reports, however, as with all things Microsoft, there is a catch. You can migrate, but all the subscriptions, datasources, etc. etc. etc. have to be re-created.

    MS TechNet:

"Content must be republished to the report server, you must assign roles on the report server that grants access to items and operations, and you must redefine subscriptions and scheduled operations. Report history that you created on the report server that ran in SharePoint integrated mode cannot be recreated on a native mode report server."

My only alternative as I see it at this point is to bring over the reports and then manually re-create the subscriptions by report; which in my case is 100+ reports each with 30+ subscriptions that will take hours and hours to do.

Is there anyone, anywhere who has a script that can move reports from one server to another and retain the subscriptions and datasources?

    Do you have step-by-step instructions?
