SSRS Performance - Local versus Server

  • Trying to find some decent advice on SSRS running locally versus from SSRS server. My immediate thoughts (and some initial reading backs this up) are that a local running of reports (where the local IIS manages everything) is a bad move if you have the option of a SSRS dedicated server. There must be performance hits when you're talking about an enterprise application surely?

Can anybody offer any advice/articles that would back any of this up or at least offer arguments for and against.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Regards 🙂
