We just replaced a database server running SQL 2008 that uses SSRS with a new server, and set up the SSRS / SOD.
When I go to the report manager website from my PC (http://<servername>/Reports/) for the server that the ReportingServices databasea are on, everything works as expected.
When I go to the report manager website from my PC for any of the six other servers in the SOD (which are web servers with SSRS installed), when I try to run a report I get:
"Cannot create a connection to data source '<datasourcename>'. For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors.
However if I log onto any of the servers that are part of the SOD I can run reports on the server just fine.
Has anyone else happened to have encountered similar behavior? Our applications that call the reports are working just fine, we just can't run them from our PCs. (Not a huge deal as we only do so for troubleshooting purposes, but I would like to resolve this if possible).
