export ssrs report in Excel: Failure of the Format Cells

    Hi all,

    When I export a report to an Excel file, SSRS does not respect the order of the cells, so I'm left with a column that is exported as two or more cells. as shown on the pictures:

    is there a trick to export to a good format??

    The merged cells in an Excel export from SSRS are generally caused by report titles or text boxes that do not exactly line up with the column breaks in the tablix. To avoid the extra columns line up all items outside the tablix with a grid line within the tablix.

    SSRS 2012 introduced Globals!RenderFormat.Name to allow you to suppress titles on export to Excel.
