I begin to work with one new client.
Sql 2005 x64 standard sp3. 4 CPU'S.
I find 4 data files and 4 log files?. Each log file grow equally, said 3gb each and 2gb used.
I always thought: log files are sequentially filled but in this case, apparently, they are filled in parallel.
The question is: what I'm missing?

Both Paul Randal and Jonathan Kehayias have blogs which include evidence that the t-logs are filled sequentially

Jonathan's conclusion:
The reason that only a fraction of the log records are written to the three additional log files is proportionate to the difference in the autogrowth settings between the first log file at 32MB and the three additional log files at 1MB. If the first log file was set to grow at 1MB, the majority of the log records would not be in the first log file.
