How to change IntelliSense timeOut in SSMS 2012?

  • Hi everyone

(my english is not very strong)

I was wondering if anybody know how to "manually" change de time out of the intellisense in SQL server Management Studio 2012.

I have a local instance and the SSMS works very well with it.

But when I connect to the remote instance, intellisense doesn't work.

I read that this value (timeout) is "hardcoded", but I'll try to change it. 😀

    Thanks in advance

  • I'm running into the same behavior. SSMS 2012 intellisense won't do anything when I'm connected to SQL boxes that are hosted offsite. It won't even show me variables that I've declared, which is weird since they aren't something that SSMS has to get from the server. I've been searching for answers but haven't found anything on it.

I'm about to install 2008 SSMS on my new laptop so I can get intellisense back.
