In VisualStudio/BIDS, I am experiencing odd behavior with a parameter that is a date/time data type with available values that come from a query. When I try to run the report after selecting a date, the parameter is reset to blank and the body of the report remains blank. It's as if the report environment just resets. If I change the data type to Text, the report runs fine. And if I change the available values to a specific value list, the report runs fine. And if I deploy the report and run it from Report Manager, it runs fine. It is only in BIDS with those particular options that it has a problem.
Could there be some corruption in the RDL that is just affecting BIDS? Is any one else experiencing a similar symptom?

What is the language on the SQL Server?
What is the locale on the report server and on your computer?
I've never seen this, but it does sound like the query isn't returning the date in a format that can be recognized.

In this case the SQL server, report server, and my local machine are all one and the same. My locale is English (United States).
