db mirroring error 1456

    Hi

    I have configured db mirroring successfully without witness.

    later when im adding witness server i have constantly failed with the following error

    "Alter Database command couldn't sent to remote server instance 'TCP://FKBSUB:5022'.

    The database mirroring configuration is not changed.Verify Server is connected and try again (Microsoft SQL Server,Error:1456)"

    my principal in on sp2

    mirror on sp1

    witness on sp1

    all enterprise edition

    Have you created a database mirroring endpoint on the witness and granted the appropriate account connect permission?

    thanks for reply

    today i have dropped all the endpoints a re-configured mirroring.....

    when started mirroring manually it gave me error 1418 and by checking the error logs i found that the port i have given for mirror server is already in use.

    can u please tell me how to solve this
