I didn't knew the answer for this question. But based on the elimination I eliminated A and B. Because option A is table created successfully and Option C is again table created successfully but some condition. It gives way eliminate both A and B. I feel writer should have given option d may be closer to B made this question more interesting.

  • I answered a QotD correctly and I didn't guess! I am pretty new to SQL development (~6months) but I could see straight away there was an issue with the two IDENTITY.

These questions are really helping me improve, keep up the good work.

  • Good question... teaches some of the basics.

You cannot get to the top by sitting on your bottom.

  • Good question. You almost got me because of the lack of caffeine in my system, but at the last moment I noticed the other identity field.

    Everything is awesome!

  • Good clear question.

It's surprising that almost a quarter of people got it wrong. Maybe a lot of people don't use identity columns, so don't know the rules about them?

  • Again, I got the right answer for the wrong reason. The fact that the topic was IDENTITY should have been a tip-off. But I'd never encountered the References keyword before, and when I looked that up, I saw it was used to create a foreign key, meaning to another table. How could this work when it was referencing a table which at that point didn't even exist? But it does, as I found out after removing the second Identity field.

  • Nice

Not all gray hairs are Dinosaurs!

  • I would have expected higher than 75% correct on this question. But then again, I use identity columns all the time. Good back to basics question. Thanks!
