Hello there,
I have a standby mode database result of log shipping what i have at the moment is users are accessing this database by using an excel sheet and making select statements to filter data and so on. The problem is that restoring cant happen since the excel sheet is creating an exclusive lock to those tables.
Is there any way that I can make the log shipping to continue without having to kill the users every time ? can I use another isolation level in the beginning of the select statement in excel will that help?
