Selection Of Sql Server Version

  • I am starting a very big project from the scratch.Till now i was using sqlser2005 with Visual Studio.Net2008....Now as my application has to deal with complex data like spatial etc etc...i have decided to use Visual Studio 2012 as it has MVC....Can any one please tell me which version of SQL i should use?

    should i need enterprise 2012?

please tell me exactly about the version of VS and SQLServer...

  • For spacial you need SQL 2008 or above (2008, 2008 R2 or 2012).

Can't tell you which version or edition, not enough information. Review the documentation on MSDN, look at the features in each edition and version and see what you need and what you can afford.

    Enterprise,personal or Ultimate etc etc

SQL has Enterprise, Standard and Express as the main editions for 2012. Review what they offer, see how much they cost, pick the cheapest one that has the features you need.
