Regard to SQL Version,

  • I have to SQL Server and one has version,

    Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (SP2) - 10.50.4000.0 (X64) Jun 28 2012 08:36:30 Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation Standard Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 6.1 <X64> (Build 7601: Service Pack 1)

    and the other server has version,

    Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (RTM) - 10.50.1600.1 (X64) Apr 2 2010 15:48:46 Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation Standard Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 6.1 <X64> (Build 7601: Service Pack 1)

    I just need to update the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (RTM) to SQL Server 2008 R2 (SP2),

    Need Assistance Please,

    Check the build list http://sqlserverbuilds.blogspot.co.uk/, to see what version your on and what you want to upgrade to.

    Download the right service pack you want then install it where it needs to go

  • Download and install Service pack 2

  • I just installed SP2.

    Just choose the correct version according to your hardware.
