I have a Merge Replication that syncs data between two databases. When I look in the Event Viewer, I keep seeing this:
Unable to read local eventlog (reason: The parameter is incorrect).
I've read online that this is a bug in SQL 2005 and that SP2 will solve it. The question is, can I install the latest SP (SP4) without causing any hitches in the Merge Replication? And, I'm assuming I would have to install it on both servers, but will I need to stop the Replication, install the Service Pack, then restart the Replication, or can I just install the service pack on both servers while the replication is running?
