Need information about certification in Sql Server

  • Hi All,

I have 3 year of Experience and I want to know which certification in sql server is good for me?

I am thinking about 70-433: DataBase Design.

If this is good then can someone tell me which book is good to start preparation.

    Thanks,

    Shiv Kumar

  • Dude,

there is the 70-433 (MCTS) and 70-451 (MCITP) which are both SQL Server 2008 exams.

Now 70-451 exam is due to be retired end of July 2013.

Depends how serious you are. You could take these two, and then try the SQL Server 2012 exam after (70-461). However if you wanted to be certified for SQL Server 2012 you would have to add other exams to get a MCSA SQL Server 2012.

The route I have travelled is to go for MCSA Sql Server 2012 abd take 70-461, 70-462, 70-463.

Passed 461,463 just need to get to grips with the DBA element of the MCSA in 70-462.

Just depends on your reasoniong for doing the exams.

    Hope that helps.

    Ells

    😎
