Potential loss of data for date column

    Hi,

    I am using excel file as a source in SSIS 2005.

    Loading all the data from excel to staging table...

    Staging table has one of the columns as : END_DATE DATETIME NULL

    In Excel, no data availble for this column and has blank value

    While inserting data, it gave the error as

    [OLE_DST_Engineer_Absence [7322]] Error: There was an error with input column " END_DATE" (7479) on input "OLE DB Destination Input" (7335). The column status returned was: "The value could not be converted because of a potential loss of data.".

    Please give me the solution

    Here's one thing you can try:

    If that doesn't work for you, do what I just did and copy that error message into your favourite search engine. There's plenty of stuff out there waiting for you to discover.
