What I thought was a nice straigt forward simple question, the results are discouraging in the number of incorrect answers.

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

I wouldn't really call that a statistic relevant sample of the population 🙂

Anyway, nice back to basics question, thanks.

    Nope, 3 isn't a good results set.

    Thanks for the question Steve.

No, but it was seemingly enough to require yet another pointless post on a QotD thread.

Is a post pointless if it has prompted discussion? ...2 (now 3 replies) 😛

I was also surprised, however, at the number of attempts that have been incorrect.

  • Nice straightforward question.

The answers so far (first 486) indicate that a surprisingly high proportion of people are sufficiently deluded to believe than MS chooses parameter names that give a sensible indication of each parameter's function; this QoTD will make a useful contribution to their disillusionment, since "authorization" seems about as misleading as you can get.

    Tom

  • Well, it's either that or the mixed case used for Authorization confused them because it doesn't immediately look like a keyword! 🙂

  • Thanks for the question Steve! Had to look this one up. I agree with others, Authorization is a little misleading in this context.

  • tks for the question - cheers

  • Good question. Thanks.

  • Good question.

At this point 52% are incorrect.
