whai is the need of adding T845 oarameter in startup in sql server

  • Hi,

Please give me the explanation about when to add T845 parameter in start up

for LPM(Lock pages in memory) for 32 bit system

  • That flag is for 64 bit. Not sure what effect it would have on a 32bit if any effect at all.

    Hi,

Please give me the explanation about when to add T845 parameter in start up

for LPM(Lock pages in memory) for 32 bit system

-T845 Does nothing for 32bit systems

The trace flag was released to enable 64bit Standard Edition systems to use Lock page in memory.

  • Thanks all for giveing me the answer

  • If you're looking for LPIM on a 32-bit system enable AWE (applies to all 32-bit systems, even ones with < 4GB). Adding startup option -T845 is unnecessary on a 32-bit system to enable AWE.
