Can someone build a short tutorial on how to send a file to an FTP site?
Maybe show an export of a text file into SQL Server as the first step in a package, or dynamically picking a file, perhaps a .bak or .trn file?

I can do this article if no one else has done it yet...
Thanks...

You are welcome to tackle it. No one has responded or submitted yet.
However please tackle one article at at time. IF you want this one respond here and leave a note on any other articles requested threads that you are doing this one.

Steve,
Do you or Red Gate have an FTP test site we could send and retrieve files to and from?

We have one. I'll see if I can get a test account posted.

That would be great. Thanks, Steve. The reason I ask, of course, is for two reasons... My current job doesn't work with any FTP sites that allow for such testing and it would be real handy to have a place where folks reading such an article can practice (with limits, of course).
If someone writes an article on using the SSIS FTP Task, I might be able to offer up one of the older "custom" methods that I used that is still in use at some of my previous companies. Heh... of course, it'll be highly controversial. 😛
