Please provide data access controls that should be a standard to the database administration and data control areas of the community.

Your question is rather vague, however you may be able to formulate a satisfactory answer by entering into the window in the upper right hand corner of this forum page the phrase "professional ethics", then click on the "go' button.

You will then have a list of 255 articles/blog/forum posting on the subject. You may further reduce the search by clicking in the first result page removing the check mark for all but Articles and Blogs, which will return you 42 items.

Good reading.

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

Ron

Anthony,

We have a lengthy document describing what data DBA's are permitted to access. You may want to engage HR and Legal in drafting your own data accessability guidelines and rules.

The two fundamental rules are:
Do not query records containing information about you, family member or friend.
Query data only in response to a ticketed request.
