Error in Event Viewer

  • Dear All,

    Can some one help me out from this issue.

    I can see more errors like this in the event viewer.

    ERROR:

    -------

    Message 29/11/2010 10:10:55 AM Error: 18056, Severity: 20, State: 27.

    The client was unable to reuse a session with SPID 1370, which had been reset for connection pooling. This error may have been caused by an earlier operation failing. Check the error logs for failed operations immediately before this error message.

  • This problem occurs because memory allocation contention causes a slowdown on the login process or the query execution process.

    It is resolved by applying the hotfix.

    But I can see hotfix is for SP2 in "http://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBHotfix.aspx?kbnum=937745&kbln=en-us"

    Our environment

    ------------------

    SQLServer2005 -- Standard Edition X86 platform

    select serverproperty('productlevel') ---> SP3

    select serverproperty('productversion') --->9.00.4053.00

    Please find the information.

    Maximum number of councurrent connections -- > 0 [ server properites]

    Memory -->32 GB

    Minimum Server memory --> 10240 MB

    Maximum Server memory --> 30720 MB

    SQL Server edition---> Microsoft SQL Server2005 Standard Edition

    The no of processors on the server---> 8 Processors [Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5405 @ 2.00GHz,1995 Mhz,4 core(s),4 logical Processor(s),Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5405 @ 2.00GHz,1995 Mhz,4 core(s),4 logical Processor(s)]

    AWE enabled , Min Server memory 10240 MB and Max Server memory 30720 MB

    Max Degree of Parallelism ---> 0

    Max worker threads --- > 0

    NOTE : Tlog backups were failing at certain time( ERROR No: 12291).
