sql server agent disable

  • after restoring master db.the temp db went disable state.how to i bringit back to enable state

  • Do you mean that it is stopped? If so, then you can restart it by right-clicking on the "SQL Server Agent" icon and selecting "Start"

  • sqlserver agent (disabled......).like that at sql server agent in the management studio.i restarted the agent also.

    right click on the Agent and select Start, and still if does not work, login with sa and repeat the same. it will start

  • Do you get this message in SQL Server log?

    Configuration option 'Agent XPs' changed from 1 to 0. Run the RECONFIGURE statement to install.

    Try to run the statement RECONFIGURE and then you will be able to start the agent.
