How can we administer the failure of log shipping? How can we know what the last log was shipped?

Hi,
The logshipping failures can be administered by the alerts set up while configuring Logshipping.
There are few tables which can be queried for details like, whats the last transaction log file applied....These tables are present in MSDB.
log_shipping_monitor_primary
log_shipping_monitor_secondary

that is why you use a monitor server
