SQL Server 2005 client

  • Hi frnds,

    I installed SQL Server 2005 server enterprise edition in windows 2003 os. i have another system and my application is there in the second system. now i need to configure the application to the sql server. my second system also having the OS Windows 2003 only. now i need sql client in the second system to access the sql server database (which is existing in the other system.). but the second system os is windows 2003. is it possible to install the sql client in the second system?

    please lem knwo how to install sql server client in the windows 2003 os.

  • Hello,

    When you say "Sql Client" do you mean you need the .Net SQL Client Assemblies or the SQL Client Tools e.g. SSMS on your (application) Server.

    In the first case you need to install the (relevant) .Net Framework on your server (available as an MS Download). In the second case you can install the Client Tools on their own from your SQL Server Installation media.
