After Microsoft announced its pair of new Surface tablets this morning, the company was kind enough to let Ars and others get up close and personal with the new hardware. While both are variations on what we've seen before, there are new bells and whistles with Surface accessories like the Power Cover, a cover with an additional battery to extend a tablet's life.
These new devices launch on October 22. with pre-orders beginning on September 24. In the meantime, we've got a first look before you decide whether to hit that "confirm purchase" button tomorrow.
