VMware vCPU Ready Time Equivalent in Hyper-V

By kleegeek, 2013/11/14

Jonathan Keyahias (b | t | l) from SQLskills has released a new blog post outlining the metric that Microsoft’s Hyper-V product uses to measure the time taken in a virtual CPU’s runnable task queue at the hypervisor level. It is the equivalent to VMware’s vCPU Ready Time, which I have outlined in detail at this blog post. The Perfmon counter is Hyper-V Hypervisor Virtual Processor\CPU Wait Time Per Dispatch. This is great news, as I have been looking for this metric to appear in Hyper-V for quite some time. Please read more at his blog post to explore this metric in detail!
