It’s a map!

Have you been looking for something inside the system views of SQL Server 2007 R2 and haven’t known where to look?  Tired of trying to figure out how to tie all of the system views together?  Need a great new colorful way to spruce up your cube?

If these or other questions have been plaguing you lately, there’s a solution.

Microsoft has published a poster size document that shows the key system views in SQL Server 2008 R2 and their relationships.

I’ll be taking a look at this over the next couple months.  I figure know these, their relationships, and how to navigate it all will be important as I work on my MCM exam preparation.
