The End of an Era

,

I went and cleaned out the Central Publishing Group colocation cage at Viawest. We've been there for 3 years and now we are finally moving out. Half the life of the company was spent there and 5/6 of our life was on the one Dell 2650 that I just unloaded into my basement.

That box will get donated somewhere, maybe the local school system. I moved out another switch (spare), a Dell 1750, which I'm not sure what to do with, a 8 port KVM and a rack mounted power cord. I've got a 2 pole rack, but I'm not sure I can mount any of these servers up there. I guess I could on a shelf. Maybe this is the start of a whole house computerized system of some sort. Or maybe a bootleg Windows Home Server installation.

It's a little sad, but I've cleaned out of that colo twice. Once when IQDestination failed and now with Central Publishing.
