No More SSNS
We've dropped an acronym!
In my rounds of the blogs today, a number of people have pointed out that SQL Server 2008, Katmai, will no longer have SSNS distributed with it. There's a note that the technology will be incorporated into Reporting Services, but that remains to be seen.
SSNS seemed like a cool technology in 2004 or 2005 when I first saw some interesting presentations on it. To that point, I wasn't sure what the purpose was. However it seemed complicated to set up and the code you might have saved was lost in learning how to work with SSNS.
I guess SSNS is the "English Query" of Katmai :)
