,

SQLSaturday#380 NYCNovember 25, 2014 - Good

news in Gotham!  Well you asked for it! You

wanted it! You waited for it! And now it's finally here! It gives me great

pleasure to announce the return of SQL Saturday to New York City! Save the date,

May 30, 2015! Just yesterday in my

blog post SQLSaturday

Speaking and Sharing, I said I would have great news for you “real soon” –

did you think I meant today?   SQLSaturday#380 is live

on the SQLSaturday.com website.  This

extraordinary event is on its way, and this time it will be atop of the most exciting

spot in the world, at the new Microsoft headquarters in Times Square!! Yep, we’re

bringing SQL back, go tell all those speakers and sponsors where it’s at!  May 30, 2015 Microsoft

HQ 11 Times Square, NY, NY

The call for speakers and sponsors is now

OFFICIALLY OPEN for SQLSaturday#380!

The news has already hit thousands of inboxes by now, as I

can tell – within mere minutes of announcement, we’ve gotten over 30

submissions for speaker presentations!

SQLSaturdayNYC  like the Honda, it

sells itself!  But that won’t stop me

from promoting it, living it, feeling it – can you feel it yet?

Winter is a long way

from over, but by time SQLSaturday#380

rolls around, the snow will be melted, the temperatures will rise, and spring

will be full in bloom!  It will be a

GREAT time to visit the city and tour Times Square!

We’ve been working behind the scenes, the League of Shadows,

if you will, to bring this all new fantastical event back to the Big

Apple.  Now that we have a new leader of

the NJSSUG (New Jersey SQL Server User’s

Group) – Batman no longer has to don his cape and cowl alone!  James Phillips now leads the NJSSUG (he’s not

just anothersqlgeek 🙂 and we will be partnering along with our merry band of

SQL Server selectables with thanks to everyone’s effort to put us back on the

map!  Our latest SQLSaturday core teams,

both new and old are: Robert

Pearl (me), James

Phillips, Simon Facer,

Erik Darling, Karla

Landrum, Alec Lazarescu

and Michael Wells.  We

will need more volunteers, so put your names in that hat!  James has his blog announcement up as well here.

We hope to see you all there!  Start planning those itineraries now!  And don’t forget to REGISTER  for the event as early and as soon as possible

– New York always sells out! – You don’t want to be waiting in line!

For on-going event updates and announcements, keep checking

the SQLSaturday#380

Event Home Page, and be sure to favorite the PearlKnows blog.  Don’t forget to also keep up with the social

media buzz and updates by following – and posting to - the hashtag #SQLSat380,

#SQLSaturday, and definitely follow me on twitter @Pearlknows!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
