SQL Server Society of Las Vegas presents HealthySQL - Webinar! Tonite!

,

Hey, all!

Today, going on all day, is the Summer Performance Palooza 2013, hosted by the PASS Performance Virtual Chapter.  It is a virtual parade of SQL Server webinars and super speakers delivering terrific tele-training into your living room, or whereever you are.  Check out the link for on-going sessions.

Now, just in case you miss this Performance Palooza, and can't get enough of web-based virtual performance presentations, you can top off your day, with a night cap of SQL Server by yours truly, Robert Pearl (blog|twitter).

This virtual event, hosted by the SQL Server Society of Las Vegas or S3OLV, will take place at 6:00PM PDT/9:00PM EDT on your internet browser.

Jason Brimhall, (blog|twitter), recently minted MCM, and VP of S3OLV, has asked me , to speak to the group, and fill-in at the last minute as the schedule was changed for tonight!  Naturally, I agreed, because he threatened to come out to New York, and well, don't want to get him in trouble 😛

So, I'm going to give my HealthySQL presentation v1.2, with last minute notice.  Hopefully all will go well, or if it doesn't - everything that happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas 😉

This webinar will be delivered via LiveMeeting.  To attend, click and join via this link: S3OLV LiveMeeting

The meeting will be kicked off by S3OLV founder/president Charlie Jones and Jason.

Ever done a SQL Server Health Check?  Well, here's what I'm gonna talk about:

Are your SQL Servers Healthy? Are all the SQL Servers you manage, healthy running optimally and has the high availability that is expected? How do you know for sure? Have you checked on the health of your SQL Servers lately? What is a HealthCheck, and how do we perform one? If you are a DBA, then you ought to know! Well Pearl Knows. I will talk about the importance of regular health checks of your SQL Server(s). We will talk about the need to create a baseline and provide some time-tested ways to determine if your SQL Servers are healthy and prove it to your managers, clients and heaven forbid, your IT auditors. Using various tools and scripts, you will come out of this session feeling much better 🙂
