EVENT: NYC SQL Server User Group Presents SSRS with Edwin Sarmiento.

,

Another great event coming to NYC this Thursday, May 26, 2011 @ 6PM!  The NYC SQL Server User Group presents a unique twist on SSRS with SQL Server MVP Edwin Sarmiento.  All the way from Ottawa, Canada, Edwin will be gracing us with his excellent presentation on SSRS.

So, if you are in the NYC area, there's only a few days left to register and join Edwin for a talk on building a scale-out SQL Server 2008 R2 reporting services farm.

When Edwin first told me he was coming to town, he reached out to me and offered to present to our local NYC User Group.  I immediately contacted the folks leading the group, and happy to report this upcoming SQL Server event.

Here is more of the official details below.  Enjoy!

Date:  Thursday, May 26, 2011

Time:  6:00 pm

Location: Microsoft Office, 1290 Avenue of Americas, New York, NY 10104

Delivering reports is becoming more critical due to the increasing demand for business intelligence solutions. And while there are a lot of guides that walk us through building a highly available database engine, you’ll rarely see one for SQL Server Reporting Services. This session will walk you through building a scale-out SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services farm from the ground up. You’ll be surprised how easy it is to do so that you can start building your own test environment.

Edwin Sarmiento is a Microsoft SQL Server MVP from Ottawa, Canada specializing in high availability, disaster recovery and system infrastructures running on the Microsoft server technology stack. He is very passionate about technology but has interests in music, professional and organizational development, leadership and management matters when not working with databases.

Note: that you must register below in advance in order to enter the Microsoft office building:
