I was just wondering if anyone has a WAN optimization solution as part of their infrastructure.  I have a few questions and I just wanted a DBA’s perspective on all this. 

1. How much optimization do you see on SQL Server 2008 R2?  Asynchronous Mirror?
2. Does it really help if I transfer a compressed full backup over the WAN?
3. Do you see any potential bottlenecks on the WAN appliances that you can see?
