Last Friday afternoon (December 17, 2010), Microsoft released the final RTM build of Service Pack 4 (SP4) for SQL Server 2005. This is scheduled to be the last Service Pack for SQL Server 2005, which is not that surprising, since SQL Server 2005 is a little over five years old now.
