Microsoft has released SQL Server 2005 SP3 Cumulative Update 9, which is Build 4294. I count 13 fixes in this build. There is no corresponding cumulative update for SQL Server 2005 SP2, since SP2 is no longer a supported service pack for SQL Server 2005.
Even though Microsoft CSS has recently changed their support policy so that they will give you limited troubleshooting support if you are on an “unsupported service pack”, you really should be running SQL Server 2005 SP3 with a current Cumulative Update if at all possible. That way there is somewhat less of a chance of having an issue that causes you to have to call CSS, and if you do have to call CSS, they will be able to give you more extensive support.
