Last week the final sessions for SQL Rally were announced, and I was very excited to find out my Performance Tuning Analysis Services was voted in! I want to thank everyone for voting and I promise to make it a great session. It will be a fun, entertaining, and of course educational session so I encourage you (if you haven't already) to register for the event at www.sqlrally.com. The session will cover the traditional methods of Performance Tuning SSAS as well as some custom methods for performance tuning MDX query performance. SQL Rally will be held May 11-13 with pre-conference seminars available as well, including one delivered by myself and several other Pragmatic Works guys. I look forward to seeing you at the event!
Devin Knight
Devin is a BI consultant at Pragmatic Works Consulting. Previously, he has tech edited the book Professional Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Integration Services and was an author in the book Knight's 24-Hour Trainer: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Integration Services. Devin has spoken at past conferences like PASS and at several SQL Saturday events. He is a contributing member to the Business Intelligence Special Interest Group (SIG) for PASS as a leader in the SSIS Focus Group. Making his home in Jacksonville, FL, Devin is a participating member of the local users’ group (JSSUG).
