Work With Me at Pragmatic Works

,

Recently Adam Jorgenson wrote a blog post titled Come be your best at Pragmatic Works, which described the work environment at our company and how we have many positions are available now at varying experience levels.  One thing that I’ve noticed when talking to people about applying with us is that they think they are not qualified but right now we’re hiring at all levels.  The main thing we are looking for is that there is a passion to learn Business Intelligence and SharePoint.  I thought this was a good opportunity to tell everyone about my experience at Pragmatic Works so you all know what you can look forward to when you join us!

I have been with the company for 2 years now as a BI Consultant, prior to that I worked for another consulting company.  In the last 2 years I have had a chance to work with a variety of industries as a consultant primarily building data warehouses.  I also teach the majority of our online and in-person training classes.  We are encouraged to be active in the SQL Community so I have been lucky enough to travel across country for speaking events.

We are also a software company, selling many products that support what I do as a consultant.  We get to work closely with the developers that create these products to help spur new ideas and come up with the next features to the products.

This truly is a fun place to work.  We know when it’s time to get down to business but we can have fun along the way.  This makes it exciting to come into work every day.

Even if you feel like you have a lot to learn in BI still this is a great place to come work.  We have a very skilled consulting staff to help in guiding you and a mentor program to help you get up to speed in the knowledge gaps you do have.

The company is growing exponentially, which is clear by how we have had to expand office space every 6 months (we just moved to a new one last week J).  Please contact us at jobs@pragmaticworks.com if you want to join our great team!
